This paper, published by Insurance Sweden, highlights that Sweden is already achieving many of the retail investment, pension and capital markets objectives that policymakers seek to deliver for the European Union. It aims to illustrate how features of Sweden’s pension and savings system have contributed to these outcomes, and to demonstrate the central role that our members – insurers and occupational pension companies – play within it.
